Cancellation Policy
How to cancel a booking and what charges may apply.

1. How to Cancel
You may cancel your booking at any time before the scheduled rental start date. To cancel, please:
- Visit www.sethu.co.za and manage your booking online, or
- Email us at info@sethu.co.za with your booking reference number and full name
Cancellations are only confirmed once you receive a written acknowledgement from Sethu EV Car Rental.
2. Cancellation Fees
The following cancellation fees apply based on how far in advance you cancel:
More than 7 days before pickup: Administration fee of R150 only — remainder refunded
3–6 days before pickup: 50% of total rental cost forfeited
Less than 48 hours before pickup: Full rental cost forfeited — no refund
No-show (failure to collect): Full rental cost forfeited
3. Cancellation by Sethu EV Car Rental
In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel your booking due to vehicle unavailability, maintenance emergencies, or events beyond our control (force majeure). In such cases:
- We will notify you as soon as possible via phone or email
- A full refund will be issued within 5–10 business days
- We will attempt to offer a suitable alternative vehicle where available
4. Modifications to Bookings
If you wish to change your booking dates or vehicle, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance. Modifications are subject to vehicle availability and may result in a price adjustment. We do not charge a modification fee if the change is made more than 48 hours in advance.
5. Delivery Timeline
For vehicle deliveries, the following timelines apply:
Standard delivery (within 30km): 2–4 hours from confirmed booking
Extended delivery (30–80km): 4–8 hours from confirmed booking
Advance bookings (24h+ notice): Delivered at your specified date and time
Delivery is subject to traffic conditions, charging status of the vehicle, and availability. You will receive a confirmation with estimated arrival time.
